A Journey Through Ho’oponopono

Return to Truth

July 25th - 27th

at Nelder Creek
Just Outside the Gateway to Yosemite

An incredible opportunity to sit with and learn from one of the most well-respected Hawaiian Wisdom Keepers of our time.

Kumu Ramsay Taum

Ho’oponopono

On this journey Kumu Ramsay shares the sacred practice of Ho‘oponopono as it was entrusted to him by his elder, Kahuna La‘au Lapa‘au Morrnah Nalamaku Simeona. This traditional Hawaiian process of reconciliation, forgiveness, and peacemaking is a spiritual pathway to healingcleansing and transforming the ancestral and energetic blocks that cloud our connection to peace, love, and abundance.

Each of us holds a unique ‘blueprint’—a truth that is ours alone to live. When we drift from this truth and try to live by another’s, we often encounter imbalance: in body, mind, spirit, and life. These imbalances—manifesting as illness, conflict, or unrest—are signs calling us back to our authentic selves. Ho‘oponopono is the ancient practice of returning to that truth and restoring harmony within and around us.

In this guided experience, Kumu Ramsay offers a deeper understanding of Ho‘oponopono, rooted in the spiritual and cultural wisdom of Hawai‘i. This is not the simplified version often seen in popular culture—it is a return to the source, to the heart of the practice. Participants are invited to explore the true depth of Ho‘oponopono and reconnect with the spiritual principles that make it such a powerful, life-changing path.

Lua

Discover how the ancient Way of the Hawaiian Warrior—Lua—can guide you through the turbulence of modern life. In a world often marked by emotional upheaval and physical disconnection, Lua offers a grounded, holistic path. It is a way of life that helps unify mind, body, and spirit, offering clarity and strength amidst the chaos.

Once held in secrecy and nearly lost to time, Lua is more than a martial art. Rooted in the sacred traditions of Hawaiian wisdom, it is a deeply spiritual system that teaches not only how to move, but how to be. Beyond physical technique, Lua invites a shift in perception—a disciplined presence and a conscious way of being in the face of life’s uncertainties.

Through this path, you’ll explore the inner warrior—not one who seeks to conquer, but one who seeks balance, purpose, and alignment with truth. Lua is an invitation to remember who you are, stand in your power, and move through the world with intention.

Thursday – Early Arrival & Potluck
You're welcome to arrive early and ease into the retreat space. During the day, Kumu will be offering one-on-one sessions for returning students. In the evening, while Kumu attends a separate event, retreat participants are invited to come together for a relaxed potluck dinner—an opportunity to settle in, connect with one another, and begin building the community we'll share over the coming days.

Friday – Sunrise Ceremony & Intro to Ho’oponopono
We’ll begin our journey at dawn by the river with a sunrise ceremony Kapukai (water cleansing ritual) and the E Ala E chant as the sun rises. An invitation to root ourselves in the land, in stillness, and in shared intention. As the day unfolds, Kumu Ramsay will guide our first Ho‘oponopono workshop, offering an introduction to this sacred Hawaiian practice of reconciliation, truth, and healing.

Saturday – Ho’oponopono Continued & Intro to Lua
We continue our journey with Ho‘oponopono, diving deeper into its spiritual roots and the ways it can support healing in our everyday lives. In the afternoon, Kumu will introduce us to Lua—the traditional Hawaiian martial art grounded in discipline, respect, and harmony, offering another pathway to inner balance and embodied wisdom.

Sunday – Lua & Closing Ceremony
Our final day begins with gentle morning movement and Lua practice, allowing us to integrate the teachings of the weekend into body and spirit. We’ll close in ceremony, sharing reflections and gratitude as we complete our time together. This will be a half-day gathering, and afterward, new students are welcome to schedule one-on-one sessions with Kumu Ramsay for the remainder of the day.
